MAHA was formed two decades ago to address the dual problems of rising housing costs and discriminatory lending practices.
In that time, we’ve created, negotiated, and expanded the SoftSecond mortgage program, which has helped 8,500 MAHA graduates buy their first home.

We’ve partnered with banks, insurers, lenders and government to create a standard of fair practice and equal opportunity for everyone.

Our staff of counselors and organizers work daily to further and protect gains in affordable housing development and investment.
